Artist Statement

Much of my work’s inspiration comes from the world around me, portraying life from my unique, subjective perspective. I am drawn to and appreciate the beauty in the natural world and the people and creatures who call it home and like to make this evident in my work. While I am naturally inclined to work in realism, I also enjoy being versatile in my style and appreciate the beautiful ambiguity of abstraction. My specialty is in black-and-white drawing media, but I enjoy creating in various mediums with a concentration on figurative work. I aim to captivate the viewer with something so aesthetically interesting that they can’t help but be drawn in to take a closer look and discover more.
